Our outdoor fireplaces are available in wood or gas (natural gas or propane) and are custom designed to fit your exact needs and specifications. They can be made single sided, see through, or indoor/outdoor with sealed viewing areas, open (no glass), or with operable doors. Choose from square, linear, or panoramic. Delivered fully assembled and designed to be finished with your specific materials - clad, stone, marble, tile, etc.

Cabela's Custom Gas Fireplace - Designed by Acucraft Fireplaces

Acucraft Fireplaces partnered with Cabela's to design and build custom gas fireplaces for their stores all across the nation. Cabela's wanted to work with a manufacturer that could meet their specific requirements, including the ability to present several unique design options, create big flames, keep the glass very cool, and be able to supply them with fireplaces in stores worldwide.

Acucraft developed a Cabela's Team, stretching across all departments, from sales and design to fulfillment and technical support. The team works directly with each location's builders, installers, and employees to be the sole point of contact for manufacturing their custom gas fireplace. Every Cabela's location receives the same custom gas fireplace which allows our team to become experts on the product they're delivering!

With our on-site consultation services our designers are able to meet on-site with the Cabela's chosen contractor to ensure proper installation and answer any questions they have to ensure proper installation.

The storyboard seen above was part of a presentation given to Cabela's that detailed many design options, including seven screen options, four patina finishes, and three steel hammered options.The design then went through a series of collaborative iterations. After receiving approval from Cabela's, the fireplace entered the production and testing phases.

Acucraft test burns everyone of our custom gas fireplaces prior to shipping

All Acucraft fireplaces are handmade out of 7 GA steel and tested for precision prior to shipment. In addition to testing the flame size and ignition system, Acucraft ran a series of tests to ensure the glass would remain cool, below 140 degrees F. They also chose to implement Acucraft's Patent Pending Glass Cooling System and optional fan delay system which runs cooling fans for 60 minutes after the fireplace is shut off to keep the glass at a lower, touchable temperature.

The finished fireplace has a viewing area of 6' wide by over 6' tall with custom operable screen doors with a large flame coming through a 5' (60") mammoth logset delivering a perfect flame height with up to 260,000 BTUs!

Custom Peninsula Gas Fireplace - Davidoff Cigar Lounge

You Can't Have Cigars Without Fire.

Acucraft Fireplaces created this gorgeous Custom Peninsula Gas Fireplace for the new Davidoff Cigar lounge in Ridgewood, NJ.
This fireplace was designed with side viewing of 78" wide x 30" tall, the front viewing area is 28" wide x 30" tall.

It is fully customized with the following options:

1. 72" Long Burner which creates a Tall Lazy Flame 
2. Designed and fabricated to be dropped through a small skylight by disassembling the fireplace into three pieces (top, left & bottom) upon delivery:

3. Acucraft's patent-pending glass cooling system (additional information below)
4. Custom Heat Relief System which was designed to provide heat to the room when the thermostat called for heat, and expelled the heat outside when the room did not need additional heat. This was done by an auto damper wired directly to the Honeywell thermostat. The space was equipped with heavy ventilation by the customer to ensure up to 20 guests could enjoy their cigars without lingering smoke and enjoy a comfortable temperature.
5. Porcelain reflective panels were placed on the back and around the burner
6. Bronze & copper glass media

This fireplace's output is up to 85,000 BTU depending on the desired height of the flame, and is easily controlled through an on/off wall switch.

GLASS COOLING SYSTEM

Acucraft's patent-pending glass cooling system is the go-to option for many of our clients. This system forces cooler air from outside into the air channel between glass panes to keep the average glass temperature to 145 degrees Fahrenheit.

The blue arrows represent the glass cooling intake air which is taken from outside, passes between the glass panes keeping them at a touchable temperature but warming that cool air up which can then be transferred back into the space or vented outside (orange arrows).

The yellow arrows represent the combustion air intake which takes air from outside, flows through the fireplace, heats up, and creates a draft which pushes the vented gas to the outside (red arrows).

These two systems work together to maintain a safer, cooler glass temperature as well as providing you with optional additional heat to your space.

With the introduction of The Unity Series, Acucraft Fireplaces is giving architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners a clean face fireplace with controllable heat output. Air is pulled from a room of your choice, circulated around the firebox, and pushed to almost any room in your home. If you are not looking for heat beyond the radiant heat produced by the fireplace, the air can be released outside instead.

The Unity Wood Burning Series is available in the following sizes: 36, 44, 48. All sizes are available single-sided or see-through and with rectangular or arched fronts. Single door or double door options available. See-through models can be configured for Indoor/Outdoor applications.

Custom 4 Sided Open Gas Fireplace

Custom 4-Sided Open Gas Fireplace by Acucraft - Atlas Holdings LLC Corporate Office - Greenwich, CT

Acucraft Fireplaces partnered with Pavarini North East Construction Co., Inc. and HLW International to create this beautiful Custom 4- Sided Open Gas Fireplace for Atlas Holdings LLC in Greenwich, CT. The customer wanted a custom fireplace with a tall, yellow, lazy flame that would be warm & inviting and fit in a more modern space within their corporate office.

Client Rendering

The client did an amazing job with the rendering they provided Acucraft (pictured left). Renderings are a great place to start bringing your vision to life.

After reviewing the client's initial rendering Acucraft presented different 

options and landed on the final drawing of the hood & based displayed below:

Based on the specifications from the client, Acucraft engineered the base, hood and flue to this fireplace by including a:

• Fully suspended hood, wrapped in black clad, from the ceiling & supported entirely by the roof of the building
• Dual Flue System, due to the open area between the base & the hood, to ensure complete frontal velocity
•  2 power vents & 2 dampers connected to an automated damper control system

This custom fireplace was designed to be placed in cement and surrounded by seating. The picture below also showcases the openness and height as well as the brilliance of the flame created.
